The Accu-Chek® Aviva Nano uses Smartview test strips.
The ACCU-CHEK Nano SmartView system by Roche is designed to give you confidence in the accuracy of your blood glucose results. With easy-to-handle glucose test strips and a bright yellow dosing window, testing your glucose has never been easier with a small 0.6 microliter blood sample size. Just put a test strip into the Nano meter in the direction of the arrows. The glucose meter will beep and a flashing blood drop symbol will appear on the display. Use the lancing device to prick the side of your fingertip. Gently squeeze your fingertip to produce a small drop of blood and touch the blood drop to the front edge of the yellow window of the test strip. A beep and flashing hourglass let you know when enough blood has been applied. Your result will appear in the display.
Alternate site testing with the Nano meter
To check blood glucose from a non-fingertip site, place the gray plastic ACCU-CHEK FastClix cap on the lancing device and press until it clicks. Firmly press the clear cap against the selected site on your palm and click the release button. Continue to apply pressure to the selected site for a couple of seconds. When you have enough blood, apply it to the test strip. The measurement starts automatically.1
