2. Extensive injury to the pancreas such as:
- Pancreatitis
- Trauma
- Infection
- Pancreatectomy (removal of the pancreas)
- Cancer of the pancreas
- Hemochromatosis
- Cystic fibrosis
Treatment of MODY Diabetes begins with:
- Diet
- Exercise
- Self Blood Glucose Monitoring
- Education
If not successful proceed with:
- Oral medication
- Insulin
